Technical terms of the system explained in plain words.
- Audit log
- A record of important actions: who did what, and when.
- Badge
- An honorary label given to a student for completing certain activities.
- Breadcrumb
- The small row at the top of the page showing where you are. Click any step to go back to it.
- Certificate placeholder (Placeholder)
- An empty spot on the certificate design. The name or date is written into it automatically.
- Class group (Cohort)
- A group of students who take one course together over the same period.
- Coupon
- A code the student enters at checkout that lowers the price.
- Discount campaign (Campaign)
- A time-limited discount on several courses. It applies to the price automatically.
- Exam supervision (Proctoring)
- The quiz runs full screen and every time the student leaves the page is recorded.
- Grace period
- A few days after the subscription is due during which the center still works.
- Installment
- Tuition split into parts with due dates. The finance officer sets it up for the student.
- Item analysis
- A report telling you which question was too easy, too hard, or unclear.
- Minimum attendance
- If a student attends less than this percentage, no certificate is issued. Leave it empty to skip the attendance requirement.
- Peer review
- Each student also reviews and scores the work of a few classmates. It lowers the teacher’s marking load.
- Practice quiz
- A quiz whose score never enters the transcript or the gradebook. It is only for practice.
- Prerequisite
- A course that must be finished first. Until it is, the student cannot enroll in the next one.
- Rubric
- A table of grading criteria. Each criterion gets a maximum score so every teacher marks the same way.
- Scheduled release (Drip)
- The lesson stays locked until a set date and opens by itself on that day.
- SCORM package (SCORM)
- A ready-made lesson package. You get it from another program and drop it straight into a lesson.
- Serial number
- The unique number of each certificate. Use it on the verify page to check that it is genuine.
- Trial period (Trial)
- A few free days for a new center. After it ends, the first payment is due.
